1TB¹ thru 3TB give a boost to as much as eight bays; 4TB and above give a boost to as much as 16 bays and employ tarnish-resistant elements for harsher environments.
¹As used for storage capacity, 1TB = one trillion bytes. Actual user capacity is also less, depending on operating environment.
